dior couture fall 2010

yes, i know that we're about to get smacked in the face with spring 2011 shows in five seconds, but i've been very busy and besides, only my mom reads this thing. so with that fantastic introduction i proudly present:

a mere three photos from the dior couture fall 2010 show

can you tell i don't have a scanner?

and that i used my iphone to take these pictures while they were angled awkwardly?

alexander mcqueen's menswear ss11 show, milan

i've never really payed much attention to the menswear side of the high fashion world-- at least not in the way i follow womenswear shows, but i'm beginning to grow a real appreciation for it all. the pr company i'm currently with represents some fantastic men's lines, and i live with two guys who have great taste and style. my eyes have been opened just in time for the milan ss11 menswear shows.

on that note, i leave you with my favorites from the late alexander mcqueen's collection. it's an understatement to say that the iconic brand's new creative director sarah burton had enormous (armadillo shaped?) shoes to fill, but i think this line-- while respectfully understated-- does a fantastic job of reassuring the masses that their beloved brand is in trustworthy hands.
